Each of these bowls is thrown on the wheel from an individual lump of clay and the foot is hand trimmed. Most are decorated with slip and liner glazed. Some are fully glazed with wood ash glaze or Shino glaze with additional brushed iron wash decoration. They are about 3 ½ inches in diameter and 4 inches tall and fit comfortably in the hand. The coffee mugs are flat bottomed and have pulled handles and all are liner glazed. Some are fully glazed and may have brushed iron wash decoration.
